Glardon® Vallorbe Buff Files are ultra-fine synthetic diamond coated finishing files that replace buff sticks and various burnishing tools. You can use these files instead of abrasive paper, stones or emery sticks.
Buff files are unique and long-lasting. Depending on the pressure you use, they are comparable to files varying from 500-1200 grit (30-15 microns). Vallorbe rates these files as G10.
Buff Escapement files are designed to be used in the same places you might use an escapement file, but for finer finishing. Favorites of watchmakers and fine jewelers, they excel at cleaning up 3D rendered items and castings – removing artifacts and burs without changing the shape of the item being finished. You can keep edges and corners sharp, surfaces flat, and hard-to-reach areas crisp.
Buff Files work on a wide variety of materials including wood, gold, gold alloys, silver, platinum, palladium, titanium, stainless steel and titanium. Buff Files are easy to clean in an ultrasonic cleaner or by dipping in alcohol. The coating resists rust and corrosion.
