Award-winning Master Engraver Lee Griffiths created this study plate to inspire and teach hand engravers, jewelers, artists and graphic designers how to construct and execute complex scrollwork. Featuring a quick-to-engrave Liberty Scroll design (also referred to as "Spaghetti Scrollwork" by Lee) in the upper left corner, this plate varies designs from simple with minimal background to complex and intricate background work.

The study casting can be shipped clean or blackened (for an additional fee). While blackened castings are easier to see with the naked eye, the coloring can obscure individual cuts. If you are using this casting to study Lee's work, we recommend ordering the clean casting.
