Shim Set for Protecting Knives and Other Engravables

This shim set has 32 steel thickness guages that can be disassembled and used as shims to protect folding knives and other items while engraving. 

These are the same shims Master Knifemaker William Tuch uses in his video, The Knife's Finish.

Simply unscrew the nut & bolt holding the set together and the shims can be used individually, in combination with each other or another flat shimming material.  You can get a perfect fit without compromising the fit or action of a folding knife.

Also works with any other item that might be bent, dented or bowed during engraving, metal inlay or hammering.

Shims very in thickness from 0.35 in/ .88 mm to .0015 ini/ 0.04 mm

Each shim is approximately 3.5 inches long by .5 inches wide.
